In January, clarinettist Joy brings a 30‑minute programme of solo clarinet and electronics to the intimate setting of the Musical Museum in Kew, a venue renowned for its historic collection of self‑playing instruments and keyboard curiosities. Joined by Scottish guitarist Stuart Duncan, she explores lyrical contemporary pieces alongside more rhythmic, groove‑based works, highlighting the colours of clarinet, guitar and subtle live effects. Together they create an atmospheric evening that weaves between classical tradition and modern soundscapes, designed to sit beautifully within the museum’s unique, characterful surroundings.
